Why can’t I sign in with my passkey?

If you try to sign in with a passkey that has been deleted, it won’t work because it is no longer active.

Case 1: You deleted a passkey in the NC Wallet app and are trying to use it for sign-in

Example: You created a passkey on a USB security key or in iCloud and then deleted it only in the NC Wallet app. Later, you created a new passkey via Google Password Manager. If you try to sign in with the deleted passkey, it won’t work.

How to fix it:

  • Use the latest passkey you created.
  • Or sign in using your Google or Apple account.

Case 2: You deleted a passkey from storage but not from the NC Wallet app

Example: You deleted your NC Wallet passkey directly in iCloud or another storage service, but didn’t remove it in the NC Wallet app.

How to fix it:

  • Sign in using your Google or Apple account.
  • Or contact support, so they can reset your passkey and allow you to create a new one.
