How do I turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) using Apple Passwords?

This instruction only applies to iOS version 15 and later. If you have an earlier version, use the instructions to enable 2FA with Google Authenticator.

Step 1: Save setup key

      1. Open NC Wallet;
      2. Tap three lines > Security;
      3. Under Two-factor authentication, select Apple Passwords;
      4. On the 2FA setup screen, copy the setup key, or tap Show QR and go to Step 2, Point 2.

Note: Back up your setup key for additional security reasons!

Step 2: Go to Apple Passwords

      1. Open Apple Passwords;
      2. Tap on the plus iconin the upper right corner;
      3. On the appearing screen, fill in the fields: Website/Label, Username, and Password field;
      4. Tap Save. For iOS 18 and later, continue to Point 8. For iOS 15-17 continue to Point 5;
      5. Tap Set Up Verification Code;
      6. Choose Enter Setup Key;
      7. Paste the copied 2FA setup key in the appearing window (or you can type it manually) and tap OK;
      8. Now you will see the Verification Code — tap to copy it. The code changes every 30 seconds!

Step 3: Verify with code

      1. Return to NC Wallet, tap Enter code;
      2. Enter the copied Verification Code in the appearing window;
      3. That is all — now your wallet is protected with 2FA!
